I decided to challenge myself for the final part of Bo's flashback: no gradients, textures, airbrushes, or blur tools. I limited myself to three of my basic inking tools. If you have Clip Studio Paint, I used the Turnip Pen for the inks and the G-Pen for shading. The 3rd pen was an Anime Pen I picked up from here. I did use one "cheat" method (layer Border Effect) for the ceiling and some of the bed rails, but this was before I decided to do this coloring challenge. A great thing about it, I completed the page in two days, and I'm about 95% finished with next week's page.

I'm still learning Clip Studio Paint. What makes it a difficult process is the last digitally produced comic I made was on Adobe Illustrator 5, on a Mac LC II. Gone are the days when 20MB of RAM and a 16Mhz processor doing the job. I'm using a Lenovo clone of the Surface, so drawing is a bit more natural, but maybe it's age but I'm struggling. However, your link to the Anime tools is a GODSEND. I don't know of I'd call them Anime myself, but the configuration is fantastic, helping my linework immediately. Thank you!

You're welcome! I never really used Adobe Illustrator, but I have fiddled with it in the past. I only recently started using Vector layers/tools in Clip Studio Paint when it comes to inking, and it has made editing and correcting linework much easier. Before this, I used Raster layers for inks, which made resizing a mess. Never again will I use Raster for linework. (I've been spoiled by Vector!)
