Page 300! Three hundred. The BIG 3-0-0. It kinda crept up on me. Every page and cover has its share of troubles, but I always manage to trudge along, finish them, and move on to the next. *raises a glass* Here's to the next 300!

On to health news. My ultrasound went well and the results came back with no issues. (Huge sigh of relief!) So the bacterial infection I have is called H. Pylori, and it's actually more common than I thought. 50% of the world's population is said to have this bacteria, and most don't have any problems with it. I'm almost certain I've had this for years (I always called it IBS), but the symptoms didn't get worse until last month. I just thought I had issues with lactose and maybe gluten, but even avoiding those foods didn't help. Oddly enough, even hunger seemed to trigger an "attack" of severe abdominal pain. I didn't have most of the symptoms listed, but a blood test caught the issue. You can even buy test kits for this on Amazon. So yeah, it's a common thing. I'm also looking at foods and drinks that help with this particular bacteria, since they say that 20% of those who get treated will get it again. :O

Another bad thing about this, I have to avoid spicy foods. Nooooooo!!!! My Deadly Skull hot sauce will have to wait.

I recently read online that the latest flu pandemic is a virus called "Norovirus". Norovirus creates severe stomach pain and causes inflammation of the intestines. I wonder if this virus could combine synergistically with someone's preexisting H. Pylori and make the symptoms even worse?
I recently contracted the flu and found that eating a lot of yogurts and probiotic drinks helped. I wonder if eating yogurt would help you with your H. Pylori? Just a suggestion.

The flu is a respiratory disease, it doesn't cause stomach ailments. You may have had a round of a gastro infection, and those get cleared up fairly quickly. Good advice for yogurt and probiotics; fermented foods (tofu, miso, kimchee, kefir, etc) are also good for the tummy...

According to WebMD:
"Worldwide, noroviruses are thought to be the most common cause of acute gastroenteritis (diarrhea and vomiting illness)."
According to MedlinePlus:
"Gastroenteritis is an inflammation of the lining of the intestines caused by a virus, bacteria or parasites."
When I say "Stomach Pain" I mean the general region around the stomach, and or the "belly".
But according to WebMD a virus like Norovirus can cause inflammation in the intestines.

I'm definitely eating yogurt and probiotic drinks to replenish the good bacteria in my system. These two antibiotics I'm on are cleansing my system of both bad and good bacteria at the moment. Green tea is also said to help with H. Pylori, or so I've read.

Best thing to use Black Pepper And Turmeric in a drink I mix 1/4 cup Turmeric to half a 1/2 tsp black Pepper(black pepper gets Turmeric past the liver)..I mix mine with chicken broth.
