About this chapter; you'll notice a change in shading, partly because I wanted a softer feel for the nighttime scenes. I also started experimenting with textures in SAI, as well as creating my own textures and tools. While I'm writing this, I'm working on page 21, and my thoughts on the new shading... it's very time consuming. I think I'll go back to the regular cel-shading (with a few textures here and there). In the time it took me to finish 20 pages for Chapter 2, I think I could have finished 40 with my standard coloring style. But I needed to experiment.

I like to think of this chapter as an homage to "The Real World" or "Big Brother" (or similar shows). I've always liked the idea of individuals who are brought together and forced to live under the same roof. That may come from the many weeks I spent at summer camp. It was always exciting on the first day when you meet your fellow cabin-mates. I miss it. I think I would be a career camp counselor if I could.

Enough rambling.

I hope you enjoy Chapter 2.

I can't wait to see the results of the new coloring. Your cell shading is damn good as is so you won't really be downgrading the art in any way by going back to it.

I agree with Low, the coloring for the previous chapter was awesome...
Looking forward to chapter 2!

Oooh, the anticipation is growing.

Got the Zombie who knows to much, the Fortune teller who's seen too much, the Ghost that shown too much, the wolf that denys too much and the vamp with pride too much. Not sure about the last one, but was running with the theme...

Experimenting is always good. Expands on the skills and learn something new for future things.

Yes, the first chapter was top notch all round. Great characters and setup. Coloring worked for me. I dunno, but a big part of comics seems to be figuring out how to tell the story in the most efficient way possible. Gotta save time where you can, but it's gtta look good too! Anyway, looking forward to the rest...
